With the recent surprise news that the UK has voted in a plebiscite for a “Brexit” – and separate themselves from the European Union, the global markets went into meltdown, and the UK pound weakened against almost every major currency.
WYSE Travel Confederation has conducted a survey within the youth and student travel community – and the results are far from optimistic about the outlook on business prospects.
From the survey:

  • 45% of respondents believe business prospects will be worse
  • A decrease between 12% and 19% in business is expected
  • A more pessimistic outlook is expected by those respondents inside the EU than outside the EU
