This weekend sees the traditional Queens Birthday Long Weekend opening to the ski season where snow sports enthusiasts gear up to hit the slopes, bars, cafes and restaurants of Mt Buller.
It’s an exciting weekend on the calendar for tens of thousands of visitors to Mt Buller who want to hit the snow and for many it will be the first time.
It will also be the first time Mt Buller fully utilises a range of new accommodation and e-commerce technology that the Buller team has been diligently working on for the last ten months.
Following a review of operations at the end of last season Buller selected local property management system provider CMS Hospitality to integrate its GuestCentrix platform with Inntopia, the leading e-commerce platform for resorts globally.
Harry Wellborne, Buller Hospitality Manager said,  “We can’t wait to welcome our guests this weekend after the many months of hard work we have put in with the team from CMS Hospitality.  Our accommodation at Mt Buller ranges from full service hotels to individually owned apartments with Backpackers and staff housing thrown in so we needed a fully featured yet flexible system and GuestCentrix has provided that. A huge bonus for us was that they have proven distribution connections to systems like Siteminder and other online booking engines, and they were able to develop a new interface with Inntopia that has proved essential to our operations, which means we now have many options in how we get our rooms to our consumers and trade partners.”
Duncan Waterman, Global Sales Director CMS Hospitality said, “Congratulations to everyone at Mt Buller. We wish them the very best for the opening of the snow season. Buller Hospitality is typical of so many local clients we are working with who are looking for solid, down to earth working relationships.  This obviously applies to the relationship between us and the client but also in how CMS Hospitality partners very well with the many other tech vendors hotels need to ensure they can provide their guests a great experience.”
