The Flying Pig on the Beach Hostel has selected GuestCentrix Hostel.Web as their new hostel PMS
This 60 bed hostel is located only 50 meters from the beach in the centre of the popular coastal town of Noordwijk, Netherlands, with its 13km of pristine shoreline.   Being centrally located between the major Netherlands cities of Rotterdam, Den Haag (The Hague), Leiden, Haarlem and Amsterdam, makes it an ideal base to explore the Netherlands’ most interesting cities.
The property is replacing a hostel management system provided to them by one of their OTAs / booking channels.  Jos Groenendijk, owner and operator understood that relying on an OTA for both online bookings and hostel management software was not the ideal solution as the hostel looks to the future.
The cloud based GuestCentrix Hostel.Web solution was recommended to Jos by existing GuestCentrix system users, and now enables the hostel to connect to both their own direct booking engine and onto their channel manager, SiteMinder. This allows the property to have a strategy to optimise revenue, and reduce costs, through a better mix of online booking sources rather than bookings sourced from a single OTA.
Jos Groenendijk, Owner / Manager reports:
Everything went well with the transfer to GuestCentrix Hostel.Web, so far we are very happy.  We enjoyed working with Adam, thanks for your patience and help :)!’
Alex Wigmore, Manager CMS Hospitality UK comments:
We welcome Jos and all the team at The Flying Pig to the GuestCentrix family. The Flying Pig is one of many hostels we have been speaking with recently who are using a hostel software which is “free” supplied by their OTA / Online booking engine partner. With booking acquisition costs forever on the rise, the cost to the hostel of a “free” software system is fairly expensive when the 12% / 15% commission per booking is considered. GuestCentrix now allows them to not be reliant on an OTA for their business, handing back control of revenue to Jos and his team.
